For Families
What if the people under your roof became the people who knew you best?
Begin the day with God. Gather once a week as a family. Make relationship part of the way you live the faith.
Pray Daily. Gather Weekly. Start at home.
God’s Design
Love moves outward.
The closer the relationship God has entrusted to us, the more intentionally it deserves to be cultivated.
Before we carry Christ everywhere else, we have to keep learning how to receive Him — and one another — where He has already placed us.
“The future of humanity passes by way of the family.”
Whatever the shape or season of your family, begin with the people God has actually entrusted to you.

The Question
Do they really know you? Do you really know them?
We make time for good things. Parish council. Men’s group. Bible study. Rescue. Sports. Work. Ministry.
When was the last time we deliberately gave that kind of attention to our spouse and children?
Good things should strengthen our first relationships — not quietly replace them.
“I never knew you.”
Matthew 7:23
GINŌSKŌ
to know personally, relationally
Jesus’ warning is not that religious works are meaningless. It is that even impressive religious activity cannot substitute for communion with Him.
If relationship matters this deeply in the life of faith, it is worth asking whether the people closest to us truly know us — and whether we truly know them.
Relationship is not the decoration around Christian life. It is at its heart.

Our Family
We’re still on the journey too.
We’re Greg and Stephanie Schlueter. We’ve been married for nearly thirty years, and were blessed with six children in seven of them.
Yes, we own a television. Yes, we know how it works. No, we're not from Utah.
We also know how easy it is — even in a loving, faithful, busy Catholic family — to live beside one another without really knowing what is happening inside one another.
We have not raised a perfect family. We are still praying, fasting, apologizing, forgiving, learning, and loving our adult children and growing family.
But one conviction has only deepened: nothing substitutes for deliberately trying to make God the heart of everything, first with Him, overflowing into our marriages, our families, and then the world. That order.
The LIT Family Challenge
Seven weeks. One family. Make room for God and one another.
You do not need another elaborate family program. Begin with the two practices LIVE IT already exists to help Catholics live.

01
Before you begin
Open your Family Room
A private Family Room is kept for your family — under a covenant of honesty and loving respect. Each family member answers the Inventory in their own words, privately, and no one sees anyone's answers until the moment releases.
A free account lets you create and guide your private Family Room.
02
Every day
Begin the day with God
Individiual prayer time is an occasion for each family member to encounter God personally, to root the day more deeply in Him. LIVE IT Today is this brief touchpoint. Receive His Word. Live IT.
03
Through ordinary life
Keep the conversation going
Use the Five Daily Questions naturally — over breakfast, at dinner, in the car, on the way to practice, or whenever life gives you an opening.
- 1Something you're grateful for.
- 2A recent victory — however small.
- 3A current challenge or struggle.
- 4An affirmation of someone in your life.
- 5Something meaningful happening for you right now.
04
Once a week
Gather as a family
Set aside about 30–60 minutes. Open the Gospel. Share real life. Listen. Pray for one another. Use the same LIT Gathering Guide that helps Catholics gather throughout the region — adapted simply for family life.
05
After seven weeks
Take the Inventory again. See what changed. Keep going.
Compare. Celebrate what changed. Decide how you want to keep walking together. The seven weeks are an on-ramp, not graduation.
Before · After
See what changes when you make room for one another.
Print one copy for every family member. Complete it privately before the seven weeks. Complete it again afterward. Then compare.
What is shared in a Family Room is for that Family Room. It is not public, sold, or used outside your family's journey.

Let the Five Daily Questions open real conversation.
03 · Weekly
Open the Gospel together.
Gather with the canonical Guide, adapted simply for family life.
This is not another seven-week program. This is a way of life simple enough to continue.
The goal is to become a family that increasingly knows, loves, prays for, forgives, and delights in one another in Christ.

Start at Home
Seven weeks from now, what might be different if you really knew one another better?
You do not need a perfect family. You need a place to begin.
